In the current recession, with unemployment on the increase and no immediate signs of improvement, there are going to be many thousands of unemployed teenager’s and ex graduates in the area of Birmingham and of course nationally.

Giving serious consideration towards an army career is something worthy of thought. Today’s British Army, one of the most respected military organisations in today’s world, offers training opportunities to both male and female in many areas, Engineering, Combat, Logistics & Support, Intelligence, Information Technology, Communications, Human Resources, Finance, Medical and also for those musically minded, Music and Ceremonial. There are also opportunities for training to Officer Level.

The army believes that education is fundamental to making the British Army the best it can be and take training and development very seriously. With education integral to an army career and the doorway to achieving things in life that the majority never thought possible.

Making the leap from a civilian to that of a military person, can at first seem very daunting remember, however, that a similar jump has been previously made by all those currently serving in the military, with the majority finding it to be the best move they have ever made. It is no different to any other form of employment, the large majority accepting and fully enjoying their new environment, and challenges etc.,

Although life in the Army will never be easy, it is a role which in making the hardest demands, will offer true life fulfilment.

Individuals will experience international travel, taking in numerous countries and cultures, numerous participating sport availabilities, adventure training, the space needed for family and friends and above all the continuous investment in training time and resources in their development.   

Who are the brains behind the whole operation? The truth is it’s every soldier and officer who makes up the ranks.
